Photography

After clicking on a photo below, there will be controls at the top right for a more expanded view. All of these photos, like the one above, are very low resolution, so they load faster on your phone, computer or tablet. Detail is much greater “in person”. You know that little yellow spot in the middle of your red poinsettia flower? That’s what you see above, photographed with high magnification.

Purchasing Artwork

Only one completed piece is shown here. Summer Bates, the yogini, above, is matted and framed. At the lower right, you can see I’ve signed the piece. The image has four mats. The interior, pencil thin, white mat, you can barely see. Modern photo reproduction technology allows me to create and imbed the “mats” in the digital file. So the mats are not really mats. There’s no cardboard. And the canvas, the main image of the piece, isn’t canvas or paper. The mats and the image are all printed on a laminate. The result is a durable image that can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. I hand build all the wooden frames and I use a signature wood frame stock, like the one above, for all my photos. I print on laminate, metal, or acrylic. I choose what I consider to be the best process and medium for each individual “matted” image. But all my prints are on one of those durable surfaces.

All the photos on this website are low resolution photos. That’s the nature of the internet. So, as you zoom in on your monitor, detail will be lacking. The matted and framed prints are all high resolution and the sharpness and focus is much more apparent when viewing the finished pieces “in person.”

Each photo is signed, numbered, and dated, and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, which is also signed, numbered, and dated, to accompany the photo in the event of resale.
