harmonica lessons in encinitas

If you're just beginning and your harp playing doesn't sound right yet, I can give you some tips so those sounds are more organized and musical. If your playing is already good, I can help you to the next level. Is your harmonica in the same key as the recording you're trying to play along with? I'll show you how that works. What are musical phrases? How long are they and how many should you play in a section? What's a section? What does 12 bar blues refer to? What does it mean to have a C harp, as opposed to a G harp? If you're playing an A harp, why doesn't your guitar player play blues in A? What does it mean to play in a key? Riffs, riffs, and more riffs. What about playing single notes? What are scales? What's a blues scale? Once you learn a riff, can you invert it or transpose it? Do you play bluesey riffs at the top of the harmonica, or just the bottom end? Call: (760) 943-8684 or Email Jerry.
